Queen City Cane Corso (Kah-nay-Korso) is located in Charlotte, North Carolina (Also known as the Queen City). Originally founded in the Washington, DC suburb of Lanham, Maryland, Queen City Cane Corso relocated to the beautiful and dog friendly state of North Carolina in 2012. We were first introduced to the Cane Corso breed in the late 1990’s while we were attending a rare breed dog show. During that time we were breeding and raising Rottweiler’s, another great breed of dog. After doing our research for four years and finding what we believed to be the most stable and consistent lines of the Cane Corso, we decided to purchase our first Cane Corso pup, a large chestnut brindle male we named Mojo Maximus. He became everything that we hoped for, a large male with a stable temperament, who was great with children yet protective when necessary. After raising and breeding other large breed dog’s including Doberman Pinchers and Rottweiler’s, we were amazed at the level of intelligence and ease when training this noble and majestic breed. It was in 2004 when we decided to use 20 years of experience in the canine world to work for the betterment of this ancient breed.
We have immersed ourselves in every aspect of Cane Corso world from conformation shows, working events, as well as forming a network for information purposes with other Cane Corso breeders and fanciers to benefit the the general public. Queen City Cane Corso is committed to cultivating and producing stable, sound dogs with a great health and a royal temperament. The Cane Corso is not a breed for everyone; but if you desire a giant breed dog that is great with children, with a medium energy level who instinctively can discern friend from foe then I encourage you to do your own research and decide if the Cane Corso is the right breed for you.
